5월21일 오전, 비가 추적추적 내리는 날씨에도 서울 강남구 도곡동에 위치한 '아크로 리버스카이' 모델하우스에는 방문객들의 발길이 이어졌다. 서울 동작구 대방동 일원, 이른바 노량진뉴타운의 중심지에 대단지를 공급한다는 소식에 관심이 뜨거웠다. 모델하우스 개관 일주일이 지났지만 평일 오전에도 3~4팀이 상담을 받고 있었고, 사전 예약제로 운영되는 주말 오전 시간대는 이미 대부분 마감된 상태였다. 모델하우스 관계자는 "연령대와 관계없이 평일에는 50팀 안팎, 주말에는 최대 100팀까지 방문객이 몰리고 있다"고 전했다.

이날 모델하우스를 찾은 60대 부부는 "평생 청약을 한 번도 해본 적이 없는데, 고민 끝에 직접 상담을 받아보려고 왔다"며 "분양가도 높은 데다 노량진뉴타운이 아직 완전히 자리 잡으려면 시간이 걸린다는 이야기도 있지만, 지금이 아니면 한강벨트에 내 집을 마련할 기회가 없을 것 같아 청약에 도전해 보려 한다"고 말했다.
